Registered Practical Nurse – Perth ON What We Offer

Responsibilities and Duties:
Delivers comprehensive professional nursing care, evaluating assessments and client needs
Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
Perform all skills, treatments and procedures competently in accordance to the provincial scope of RPN and adheres to the policies, procedures and protocols of Nurse Next Door.
Assess and provide client and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis
Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
Servicing the rural communities of Eastern Ontario. We are actively searching for RPNs in the Perth and surrounding rural areas.
Looking for all visit times weekdays and weekends
Requirements:
Current Certificate of Competence and in good standing with the provincial College of Nurses (Registry #)
Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and one year of recent related experience in gerontological nursing
1 year of nursing experience required; three years nursing experience preferred. Community, home health or medical/surgical
Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check
Must be able to legally work in Ontario Canada to apply for this position
Valid driver’s license is required and willingness to travel to remote locations
Driver’s Abstract (provided by Nurse Next Door) if own your own vehicle
